Drafting
Notice replies, facts, citations and Word export.
- How do I upload a PDF?In Drafting, choose Upload notice or past replies, then drop your PDFs in or browse for them. Each PDF can be up to 30 MB.
- What should I type in the draft box?Describe the matter in your own words: what the notice says, which form and period, the amount in dispute and the position you want to take. More context gives a better draft.
- How do I reply to a GST notice?Upload the notice in Drafting, add any supporting files and details, and choose Submit. The reply opens in the editor with every fact and legal point linked to its source.
- How do I check a fact against the notice?Click a fact in the draft, or Open source in the facts panel. The notice opens at the right page with the text highlighted.
- How do I check a citation?Every legal point in a draft carries a source. Click it to open the section, circular or case it comes from, then read the authority yourself.
- Why is a point flagged as un-cited?A legal reference with no citation, or one that cites a source we do not recognise, is flagged. Cite it or acknowledge it before you export.
- How do I export to Word?In the editor, choose the Download button, then Word (.docx). PDF (.pdf) is there too.
- How do I change a draft with an instruction?Choose Modify draft in the editor toolbar, say what should change and choose Modify draft again to apply it. The rest of the draft is kept as it is and a new version is saved.
