How do I reconcile GSTR-2B with my purchases in Busy?

In Busy, first download the GSTR data from Transactions > GST Misc Utilities (auto-download with your GST portal username, or import the JSON files by hand). Then open Reconciliation with GST under the GST section of the Transactions menu, choose GSTR-2B and the period, and review the differences before you claim the credit in GSTR-3B.

Steps

Busy's FAQ says the software has a single GST reconciliation option, called Reconciliation with GST, and advises reconciling ITC with the portal data before claiming it in GSTR-3B.

  1. Enable API access on the GST portal (View Profile > Manage API Access) so Busy can receive the OTP.
  2. In Busy, go to Transactions > GST Misc Utilities and choose Download GSTR Data, then select GSTR-2B for the period. You can also import the JSON files manually.
  3. Open Reconciliation with GST from the GST section of the Transactions menu.
  4. Select GSTR-2B and enter the period.
  5. Review the differences. Check voucher date, number and invoice value, then tax rate and tax value, against the 2B row.
  6. Correct the entries in Busy or note the supplier-side gaps, then use the corrected figures for the ITC claim in GSTR-3B.
How Charter AI does this

Charter AI runs the same comparison on files: the GSTR-2B JSON or Excel from the portal and the purchase register exported from Busy, mapped once and saved per client. Each document is sorted into matched, partial, not in books or not in portal, with ITC totals by bucket, and Charter AI also flags a 2B versus 3B difference each month from the returns you upload.
